8^th Graders – Auditions for the Glitz and Encore show choirs at Ironwood Ridge will be taking place at Wilson on April 13^th and 14^th  after school. You do not need to currently be in choir to audition. For more information, contact Mr. Lepore.

 

 

Wilson Wranglers have an opportunity to participate in raising $13,000 for our school.  Here are 3 easy steps:  1. Get on Facebook and “like” the (IMC) Instrumental Music Center.   2.  Click on the “IMC ROCKS Brass-a-Palooza.”  3.  Scroll down and select “Wilson K-8” to cast your vote.   The Southern Arizona middle school with the most votes wins!  Make sure to cast your vote this week.  The deadline is by April 1^st at 10am.

 

Talent Show

 

It is that time of year again! Time for the Talent Show.  Each individual or group will need to turn in one application to the office or Mrs. Busby by next week. Tryouts will be April 8^th and 9^th. Applications are due by March 31^st. Applications were emailed out to all parents, can be found on Mrs. Busby website, and can be picked up in the office. Auditions will be April 8^th and 9^th.

The Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser ends today. Your spare change can save a life! The middle school and elementary class that bring in the most change will win an Eegee’s party. 

 

 

All 4^th quarter sports (Baseball for 7^th and 8^th  grade, Volleyball for 7^th and 8^th grade, and Track for 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade) will begin the first day back from Spring Break (Monday, March 23^rd). All paperwork needs to be turned in TODAY! Friday, March 13^th. If you have any questions please see Mr. Linn.

 

 

Attention all Wilson baseball players. Coach Silvas will be offering 3 days of optional practice over Spring Break. They will be on , Tues, Wed., and Thurs.,  from 4:30 -6. That’s March 17^th, 18^th, and 19^th from 4:30 – 6 on the 8^th grade field. If you have any questions see Mr. Linn.

Hello Wilson Wranglers!

 

 Students the library computers cannot be used for games during class or AFT.

 

Please don’t ask your teacher for a pass to the library so you can use a computer for games.  Library computers are only to be used for school work during class and AFT.

 

Lunch detention will be assigned if you go to game sites during class or AFT.

Hello Wilson Wranglers!

The food Drive has been extended until Monday.  Let's show that Wrangler Awesomeness and see if we can beat last year's total!

Both the 7^th and 8^th grade boys’ soccer teams won the league championship on Wednesday. The 7^th grade team beat previously undefeated Flowing Wells 2-1. And the 8^th grade team beat previously undefeated Esperero Canyon 3-2. Way to go Soccer Wranglers!

Wilson’s 4^th Annual Food Drive runs from Feb. 18^th – March 6^th. Any non-perishable food items are welcomed, but please no glass containers. The competition will be run through AFT classes and the top 9 classes (schoolwide) will win an Eegee’s Party.

 

 

 

All 4^th quarter sports (Baseball for 7^th and 8^th  grade, Volleyball for 7^th and 8^th grade, and Track for 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade) will begin the first day back from Spring Break (Monday, March 23^rd). "Wilson middle school Jazz band participated in a high school festival on Tuesday March 3rd.  They received a "Superior" rating and were recognized for outstanding achievement.  If you get a chance to congratulate the students, please do, or if you would like to hear them in person, the jazz band and chamber ensemble are having a live concert thursday evening in the north MPR at 7pm.  Admission is free."
